The New York Hotel and Motel Trades Council is an umbrella group of unions whose members are employed in New York metropolitan area hotels, restaurants and private clubs. The bulk of the affiliated workers are members of the Hotel Employees and Restaurant Employees International Union, but electricians, elevator technicians and other building trades groups are also represented in the Council.
